I would like to introduce him to ‘Sufi Islam.’ That would be the Gandhian way.
Aunty, IMO a ban will be better. It will result in a boom of sale of Qur’an. People will realize that it is not what people say it is.
This is the problem Manas people don’t like to read something before condemning it. If one uses ones commonsense; how is it possible that there are so many followers of a particular religion if it taught only hate.
You know, aunty, there’s an aphorism- “The most uncommon of all is the common sense.”
oooh…It is really funny… to ban the Qur’an. Wonder what will happen to him if he were to do that. Even though he may be able to eliminate the physical Qur’an in his country but he cannot eliminate the Qur’an embeded in the head and mind of those who had memorized the Qur’an.
That is an interesting point! I didn’t consider that.
Our Hafiz will act as a counter-measure in Netherlands.
Yeah right?! As if “new Testament” is okay?:D

Problem with selective reading of any religious text is that it can be taken out of context.
It may sound like the same thing over and over again, but people are yet to get it- people like the dutch politician.
Basically the neo-cons in Netherlands love to hate Islam.
The Netherlands have taken tolerance to the point of fascism. They are intolerant of anyone who is less tolerant of them, oddly enough. It’s so strange, I went to the Anne Frank house in Holland, and the entire thing is a museum to tolerance and freedom and human rights.
Odd how that doesn’t exactly extend to Muslims. They assume Muslims are less tolerant, and that makes it OK for them to be very intolerant of Muslims. No, it doesn’t make sense to me either.
